Outpatient surgery services
Outpatient surgery services are scheduled curative health care services, the provision of which may involve local or regional anaesthesia, executed by the operating or procedure executing doctor, after which the post-operative (post-procedure) care of the patient and the possibility to provide the patient with health care services are ensured without taking the patient out of his normal social environment.
Outpatient surgery services can be provided by institutions licensed to provide consultations by a specialist of the relevant specialty.
Outpatient surgery services are provided only according to a doctor's referral. After providing this service, the medical institution must, if necessary, ensure short-term monitoring of the patient's condition.
