Spectacle lenses
Reimbursed spectacle lenses may be prescribed to patients due to different diseases affecting vision: diseases of the lens, choroid and retina, glaucoma, diseases of the vitreous body and the eyeball, optic nerve and optic tract, muscles of the eye and refraction disorders, corneal transplants and other. For those covered by compulsory health insurance, a part of the cost of spectacle lenses may be reimbursed from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (CHIF).
