Services for children
Health insurance funds from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund reimburse the costs of permanent molar teeth for children (up to 14 years of age), consultations of pediatric dentists, orthodontic appliances, dental prosthetics (for some insured persons), inpatient dental services.
Dental sealing
For children from the first permanent eruption of a molar to 14 years of age (before the age of 14), healthy permanent molars can be covered with sealants. These are substances for the prevention of tooth decay, which mechanically cover the tooth grooves and cavities to prevent the introduction of caries-causing bacteria. Sealants seal the grooves of permanent first, second and third molars, and if the risk of caries is high, seal the hoe grooves and the deep blind holes of the upper lateral moths.
Sealing of children's permanent molars with sealants is carried out by personal health care institutions that have concluded agreements with the Territorial Health Insurance Fund (ICD) for the provision of dental care services or for the provision and payment of pediatric molars. This procedure is performed by dentists with assistants or oral hygienists.
Silantization is a completely painless procedure. The surface of the teeth is cleaned, treated with a special paste and covered with a sealant, which is hardened using a special light. After silantization of your teeth for the first time, you should visit a dentist after 3 months to assess the condition and then check at each preventive examination. If the sealant falls out, the procedure of coating the molar teeth with sealant materials is repeated.
Every year, when preparing a child for kindergarten or school and performing a preventive health examination of the child, it is necessary to visit not only a family doctor, but also a dentist. He not only assesses the condition of the child's teeth, but also, if necessary, treats them and smoothes healthy permanent molars.
