Day inpatient services

Day inpatient services - are scheduled curative and / or diagnostic personal health care activities during which the patient is supervised for up to 8 hours. Such services are provided only according to a doctor's referral.

The day hospital provides pregnancy pathology, pain diagnosis and treatment, oncology, internal medicine, paediatric diseases, allergic diseases, radiation therapy, psychiatry, etc. services.

Most day inpatient services are provided in hospitals. An exception is the early rehabilitation services for children with developmental disorders, which can also be provided in personal health care institutions providing outpatient services.

If necessary, patients may be issued prescriptions for reimbursable medicines during the day of inpatient treatment. The costs of daily inpatient services are paid at basic prices for each day.
